How DTF turns detailed artwork into a finished print.
Direct-to-film printing builds your artwork in layers on a clear PET carrier. The colour image is backed with white ink, coated with heat-activated adhesive and cured before it reaches the garment. Controlled heat and pressure then bond the complete print to the fabric, and the clear carrier is peeled away to reveal the finished design.
White ink adds opacity
A white underbase is printed behind the colour layer so the artwork stays clear and bright across light and dark fabrics.
Adhesive is applied and cured
Heat-activated powder coats the wet ink and is cured into a consistent adhesive layer before the transfer is pressed.
Heat bonds, then film peels
Controlled heat and pressure bond the full print to the fabric. The PET carrier is then removed, leaving the design behind.

What is DTF printing?
DTF means direct to film. Artwork is printed onto PET film with a white ink underbase and heat-activated adhesive, then heat-pressed onto the item. The clear carrier is removed after pressing.
What can I customize?
Printz Experts currently offers customizable T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, bags, women's products and youth products. Availability depends on the selected product and decoration area.
Is there a minimum quantity?
Current online products can begin at a minimum quantity of one. Larger and more complex projects can be sent through the quote form.
How does quantity pricing work?
The product shows a starting unit price. Eligible volume pricing can reduce the per-item price as quantity increases. Product, decoration, delivery and taxes still affect the final total.
How long does production take?
Standard production is currently 7â10 business days after required information, payment, artwork and approvals are complete. Shipping time is separate.
